I want to simulate the tidal current of hangzhou bay of eastchina sea at least one year, and how many tidal coefficient do i add to OBC? any hint will be appreciated!

1、did you add obc by changing ANA_* files? you d better make a forcing file with cdl
2、i have encountered the problem before, cause some NaN is included in OBC, maybe you have the same problem, i guess.

i am sorry that OPTS data is not corret, especially elevation phase. for example, Ephase of m2, to my knowleage, is 300 degree on the channel of china bohai sea, and about 50 in the OPTS data. so i am not sure about the accuracy of current hamornic constants.

If I want to run a simulation of tide of a real case, do I have to add the harmonic constants of current(UV_TIDES) to the open boundary, in other words,If I only add the SSH_TIDES to the boundary, can it simulate well enough?

I didn't input any boundary file, cause i did some change in the globaldefs.h according to your suggestion,( You need to hack globaldefs.h to swear to it that you do not need a boundary file. Do a search on OBC.

it maybe caused by mexcdf53,u can try to remove the dir of 'mexcdf5' from the your path of matlab!
