Any code to plot vertical stream function or MOC ?
Dear all,
I am wondering if you have and are willing to share a code to calculate/plot zonal vertical stream function or meridional overturning circulation for ROMS output? Thank you so much in advance.
Kind regards,
Al

Missing PAR variable in the roms_metadata.m
Although maybe PAR variable is not as important as other variables, but I get the following error in Matlab when creating ROMS forcing files from ECMWF data using d_ecmwf2roms.m. Apparently, there is no PAR defined in the roms_metadata.m. Or maybe I'm using obsolete d_ecmwf2roms.m and roms_metadata ...

Re: some problems about fennel bio model
Hi Kent,
I'm just curious, have you define SOLAR_SOURCE?
In this regards, you may also want to check your solar shortwave radiation flux (swrad) forcing to make sure you have correct photosynthetic radiation values to generate your bio growths.

Re: NO3_sflux error
analytically you can solve it by :
# define ANA_SPFLUX
# define ANA_BPFLUX
which then call ana_stflux and ana_btflux to give certain values (zero by default) for the tracers.

Which tracer advection scheme did you use before and after the negative correction?
Thanks.

Re: Make error
First, you should make sure that 'ifort' compiler and 'netcdf' library already installed in your machine and find the path where those two things were installed . Then, set those paths to the xxx-ifort.mk file (e.g. Linux-ifort.mk if you use linux) in Compiler subdirectory. More information can be ...

Re: Model blows up at 1st time step
I see something weird in your basin volumes report where your max volume is zero.
maybe you need to recheck your grid setup.Initial basin volumes: TotVolume = 0.0000000000E+00 m3
MinVolume = 1.0000000000E+20 m3
MaxVolume = 0.0000000000E+00 m3
Max/Min = 0.0000000000E+00

Re: how to add a passive tracer?
Hi ROMS users,
I succeed adding passive tracer (dye) by using external files and ana_options in my simulation. Furthermore, I want also put decay rate in the passive tracer. Is that possible? What steps and which routines I should modify?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Al

River_Plume2 test case and its open boundary
Dear ROMS users, I tried river_plume2 test case to learn how specify open boundary in ROMS after read paper related to it (P. Marchesiello, J.C. McWilliams and A. Shchepetkin, 2001). But in the end of river_plume2 simulation (40 days) I found some strange flow around southern boundary which also ...
