Ok. Downloading the gfortan compiler from the above site, I compiled the netcdf installation without a problem. I made a new makefile Compilers/Darwin-gfortran.mk, but now the ROMS compilation choked over the -ffree-form-line-length-huge option as in my configuration it expects a positve integer ...
