Susonic,
Check this page of the forum, there you will find all the information you need to get that version:
viewtopic.php?t=502
But also you will have to register yourself in the page of ROMS (see www.myroms.org) and wait for a password.
Good look

I dowloaded that forcing package (by H. Arango) from
http://www.myroms.org/index.php?page=forcing
but we could not compile it for my PC under linux (I asked for help to the system administrator) , it is maybe a problem with the architecture .

Are there CPP opions for NetCDF input files ?
I was looking at some files of the source code of ROMS 3.0....and there is a definition called INI_FILE (in initial.F) that calls the routine get_state.F used to read initial conditions of NetCDF files.....Also I found the definition with name FRC_FILE that is not used but there is a comment ...

I was running make to compile ROMS 3.0 and each time I defined SPONGE option and / or ZCLM_NUDGING, M2CLM_NUDGING, M3CLM_NUDGING, TCLM_NUDGING options the compilation was aborted indicating an ERROR 1.

Someone could help me with information and/or notes of the meaning of these parameters (Hc and TCLINE) and what are the criterions to choose them and where I must set Hc in ROMS 3 ?

defininig the starting date
In realistic simulations using Roms 3.0, the starting date (of the simulation) may be not necessarily the same in the input NetCDF forcing and initial files, because the frequency and starting date of each original data base are not necessarily the same.

About Nesting in ROMS
Someone knows if:
1) Is there a note describing how to do nesting in ROMS ? or someone could explain to me how I could work with mother and nested grids using ROMS ?
2) Is there a software (may be matlab tools) to prepare mother and nested grids ? and where could I find it ?
Thanks

Ups !!!
Kate
Really I downloaded the newer version (2.2) I found in the ROMS page (https://www.myroms.org/index.php?page=Codes), before to enter to the forum.
Thanks for the information. Now I found in the forum where I can dowload the version 3.0.
Bye

I have to decide for the use of a big size grid with a high resolution or the use of nesting with two /three grids to simulate wind forced circulation and upwelling in an area of 400 km x 400 km approximately.

What are the steps (it may be a sequence) to implement a real case in ROMS 2.2 considering open and closed boundaries and atmospheric forcing ? Here I mean what are the files I must modify
Also, where are the input NetCDF files read them into the ROMS code ?

I have compiled the ROMS using the make tool (with the correct compiler definitions and paths) in the roms-2.2 directory. Then I typed (in the command line) the executable file (oceanS).
But it is no clear for me how the model is working and if the model is running well.
